Bachelor of Dental Surgery
A four year Bachelor of Dental Surgery Program is offered to under graduate students at Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine. On successful completion, students are awarded BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) degree from Jinnah Sindh Medical University, Karachi.
Outcomes of BDS program
By the end of the BDS program graduates should be able to:
1. Apply scientific principles, knowledge, and skills to interpret history, physical examination, and diagnostic investigations to develop differential diagnoses across various clinical settings
2. Utilize principles of dental public health to advocate for dental health promotion, disease prevention in the community.
3. Engage in research by initiating or participating in studies and enhance evidence based clinical decision-making and practice.
4. Demonstrate proficiency in using technology and leverage various technological tools for learning, communication, collaboration, and research.
5. Demonstrate effective communication skills and professionalism in collaboration with a commitment to patient safety and well-being.
6. Engage in self-directed learning to continuously improve professional knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
