Innovative Workshop on Crown Preparation for Final-Year Dental Students

KARACHI: The Postgraduate unit of Prosthodontics department of Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine (AIDM) recently hosted an enlightening workshop focused on crown preparation for final-year dental students. This event, led by Prof. Naseer Ahmed, Dr. Shuja Adil, Dr. Tooba Shabbir, and Dr. Aiman Yaseen, aimed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for their future practice.

The workshop commenced with a comprehensive lecture given by Dr. Shuja on the principles of crown preparation, covering the latest techniques and materials in modern dentistry. Students were introduced to the intricacies of tooth preparation, emphasizing the significance of precision and advanced dental technologies. Following the theoretical session, Dr. Shuja and Dr. Tooba (resident) demonstrated crown preparation, after which participants engaged in hands-on practice under the supervision of experienced prosthodontists. This practical segment allowed students to apply their newly acquired knowledge on dental models, receiving immediate feedback to refine their techniques.

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, fostering a collaborative learning environment. The success of this workshop underscores AIDM’s commitment to providing high-quality education and training, preparing students to excel in the dynamic field of dentistry.
