The 23 participants showcased exceptional proficiency throughout the 6 months’ course, culminating in their remarkable performance and well deserved certification. Under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Shaur Sarfaraz as Director CHPE and Dr. Maria Ghani as coordinator CHPE, the participants exhibited a commendable level of knowledge, skill, and commitment, reflecting the rigorous training has been offered by DME-AIDM. We celebrate the exceptional achievements of the position holders in its inaugural Certificate in Health Professions Education (CHPE) course. Dr. Asra Khan Pahore (1st), Prof. Naseer Ahmed, Prof. Sheema Farhan Akram (2nd), Dr. Sobia Hassan, and Prof. Dinaz Gandhi (3rd) position, They have demonstrated exemplary dedication and proficiency, emerging as the top performers among the 23 participants in the program. Dr. Shaur Sarfaraz, Director Department of Medical Education at Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine, expressed immense pride in the achievements of the participants, stating, “The successful completion of the CHPE program by our batch 01 symbolizes the dedication and caliber of our faculty. Implant Dentistry Workshop
An examplinary implant dentistry workshop was held today by AIDM for House Surgeons and postgraduate students. Sponsored by Dynamark Pakistan (Izen Implant), the session, expertly managed by Prof. Dr. Naseer Ahmed, Dr. Zaheer Hussain, Dr. Maria Shakoor, and Dr. Batool Sajjad, included Prof. Dr. Dinaz Ghandhi and Dr. Abid Ahmood on the expert panel. Organizers, Prof. Dr. Hasnain Sakrani, Dr. Resham Nadeem, Dr. Aleesha Faisal, and team, did a tremendous job. The event featured lectures and a head-to-head implant placement demonstration.

Medical emergencies can occur anytime in any location. Most effective approach to handling an emergency is to be prepared in advance.
F.R.I.P LEVEL – 01 workshop took place in Altamash General Hospital on 25th – 26th September, 2023 for the students of Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine.
In this workshop, students learned crucial life-saving abilities, including CPR techniques, handling of fractures, burns and heat stroke. They learned the competence to respond effectively to diverse emergencies through hands-on demonstrations as learning the basic life support holds particular importance especially for those in the medical field.

In a bid to promote community oral health, Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine (AIDM) and Colgate, organised a week-long activity providing free dental consultations and check-ups to the masses.
This collaboration was aimed at having a positive impact on the well-being of people and emphasizing the importance of good dental hygiene.

AIDM has taken a commendable step towards promoting oral health in the spirit of inclusivity by organizing an oral health screening program for Special Olympics athletes, operating under the banner of “Special Smile.” The inaugural screening session was conducted at AIDM and marked the beginning of a transformative four-month program set to benefit 200 special athletes. Dr. Sohail Lakhani, a distinguished Senior Instructor in Community Health Sciences from Aga Khan University Hospital Karachi, led the charge. The primary goal? To ignite a passion for research among our dedicated doctors.
This dynamic session delved into the practical application of STATA, a statistical software revered for its role in shaping descriptive and inferential statistics within the realms of medicine and dentistry.
The event was masterfully orchestrated by the Research Development and Review Cell, under the astute supervision of Prof. Dr. Naseer Ahmed, a prominent figure at AIDM.
