Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine strictly abides to rules and regulations laid down by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council in its regulations MBBS and BDS (Admissions, House Job and Internship) Regulations, 2018.

Institutional Admission Committee has been constituted comprising of the following:

Eligibility criteria for BDS courses in Pakistan and abroad.

  • At least 60% Marks in Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or FSc (Pre- Medical Group) / A-Level / American High School / or Equivalent
  • Students appearing from Foreign University or examining body or foreign education system must have at least three science subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry and either Physics, or Mathematics certified by the (IBCC) as Equivalent to (HSSC) of F.Sc or Intermediate level of Pakistan.
  • Pakistani students having passed from foreign education system (i.e. O-Levels, A-Levels etc) in Pakistan shall NOT be eligible for foreign quota seats.
  • The candidate must appear in the current NTS test of their own province (mentioned in the domicile.

Foreign Quota Seats

  • The candidate must pass English language proficiency test e.g. valid TOFEL or IELTS with minimum score of 500 or 5.5 or have a certification by National University of Modern Languages (NUML) after one year English language course, where medium of instructions for obtaining required academic qualifications for admission test is not English.
  • Candidates having foreign or dual nationality or overseas Pakistani students and qualified from abroad may also apply if they have passed a foreign SAT II examination with minimum 550 marks in each of the three subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, and either Physics or Mathematics or a foreign MCAT with minimum score of 500.


Permanent foreign nationality or dual nationality or overseas Pakistani student who has studied and passed HSSC 12 th grade examination or equivalent from outside Pakistan and has stayed in the foreign country for the whole duration of the above mentioned course and possesses a certificate from the institution, last attended to this effect.

Announcement for admission is made in the daily newspapers of Pakistan.

Dental Institution Admission Test

Students seeking admission in dental institution will have to appear in centralized single entry test conducted by the Admitting University notified under intimation to the council.

A uniform pattern and syllabus for admission test will be approved by the council and the syllabus of the admission test will be commensurate with HSSC or F.Sc curriculum level.

The candidate should contact the admitting university for admission by submitting following documents:

  • SSC/Matriculation/Equivalent (10%)
  • F.Sc (Pre-Medical)/HSSC/Equivalent (40%)
  • Admission Test (50%)
  • Hafiz-e-Quran certification (if present ) shall be entitled to addition of 20 marks to his marks obtained in HSSC or equivalent)
  • The pattern of admission test shall be based on multiple choice questions (MCQs). It shall be conducted in the subjects of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English and any other subject relevant to admission.
  • Entry test shall be valid for one year of the same session in the public and private medical and dental instructions. SAT and foreign MCAT scores from abroad, where applicable, shall be valid for two years from the date of passing of those examinations.
  • The admission will only be based on merit
